Alice Mitchell, receptionist, amitchell@aaf.org
Alice comes to AAF from TEAM, a television production company, where she worked as a receptionist and production assistant. A D.C. native, Alice will attend the University of Maryland University College in the fall to pursue a degree in communications.


Caitlin Tucker, coordinator – club services, ctucker@aaf.org
Caitlin will manage the day-to-day operations of the club services department, providing consultative advice and solutions to AAF members relative to club management issues. She will also be serving as the club liaison to the National Club Achievement Awards and the Silver Medal program. Caitlin comes to the AAF from Corporate Executive Board, where she worked as a marketing associate. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2006 with degrees in psychology and sociology.

AAF NATIONAL CONFERENCE 2007

The AAF National Conference 2007 will take place June 7–9 at the new Louisville Marriott Downtown hotel.

The AAF National Conference 2007 will feature the prestigious ADDY® Awards on June 9 and the National Student Advertising Competition June 7–8, sponsored this year by Coke. The Club Achievement Awards presentation will take place the afternoon of June 9, celebrating AAF ad clubs and federations that have displayed exceptional skill in club management.

ADVERTISING EXCELLENCE

National ADDY Awards Judging—Judging will take place May 4–5, 2007, at The Washington Post in Washington, D.C.

Rick Carpenter, president of DDB Group Los Angeles, will serve as jury chair for the third consecutive year.

This year's ADDY Awards Gala will take place June 9 in Louisville at the AAF National Conference 2007.

AAF Mosaic Career Fairs 2007 Mosaic Career Fairs—AAF's Mosaic Career Fairs provide students with the perfect venue for networking with recruiters and learning about careers in advertising, marketing and communications.

Gannett/USA TODAY Mosaic Career Fair
March 8 in McLean, Va.
In addition to an increase in numbers from 2006, with roughly 150 students and 28 recruiting companies in attendance. This career fair featured panel discussions, résumé reviews, portfolio critiques and a Recruiters Expo.

Leo Burnett Mosaic Career Fair
March 29 at DePaul University in Chicago, Ill.
Twenty-seven recruiters and over 200 students turned out. This career fair featured panel discussions, résumé reviews, portfolio critiques and a Recruiters Expo.

The Walt Disney Company Career Fair
April 19 in Universal City, Calif.
Approximately 150 students and 19 recruiting companies came to the fair. This fair featured a panel discussion, a keynote luncheon speech by Wesley Coleman, EVP and chief HR officer, the Walt Disney Company, and a Recruiters Expo.

Student Conference—The National Student Conference is designed to provide students with the training and education necessary to enter into today's advertising industry. This two-day event includes panel discussions, renowned speakers, a recruiters xxpo and workshops on topics such as interviewing, résumé writing and portfolio development.
